Katagami stencil with an all-over design of shokkō patterning (octagons and rectangles). The octagons contain stylised flowers and the rectangles contain kikko patterning (hexagonal grids) with flowers, possibly stylised chrysanthemums, in the hexagons. Kikko patterning is associated with longevity because of its similarity to turtle shell. This stencil is of the chūban size class (determined by the repeat length).
