Student Views of Home

We asked students from Middlesex University's Documentary Film and TV Production courses to share their views of 'home' as a physical space, emotional state, psychological space or geographical location. We were impressed by their fresh and innovative responses to our brief, especially since filming took place during the difficult circumstances created by Covid in autumn 2020.

Documentary Film student Beatriz Feliz made a film about what “Home” has become for her over the years, and how its meaning became simpler and more intimate as she lived experiences such as emigration and moving around from house to house.

Students from Middlesex University’s TV Production course interviewed fellow student Eden. She reveals that home is not just four walls and a roof but a place where she can find love, happiness and respect.
