Katagami stencil depicting sparrows in flight amongst pine branches. Tie bars are used to hold the stencil structure, these would be covered over by paste applied through another stencil (K1.9) so would not appear on the printed textile. This is a secondary stencil with little detail on it. This stencil is of the koban or chūban size class (determined by the repeat length).
