Katagami stencil with an all-over geometric pattern of sayagata (linked swastikas) which are a Buddist auspicious emblem and are used to symbolise virtue in Japanese tradition. A fine mesh of supporting threads made of silk is sandwiched between two layers of this stencil. This stencil is of the koban size class (determined by the repeat length).
