Katagami stencil with small repeating scenes of rabbits/hares (hana ) amongst Autumn grasses (this manner of presenting rabbits with flowers is a traditional motif known as hana-usagi ). Rows of stylised reeds or iris are fitted around these scenes. Rabbits/ hares are associated with the moon, another symbol of Autumn. This stencil is of the sansun okuri or koban size class (determined by the repeat length).
