Katagami stencil depicting pine cones, plum blossom and bamboo leaves - these trees are the 'three friends of Winter' bamboo which shows perseverance in resisting Winter storms, pine which represents longevity and remains green in Winter and plum which flowers in late Winter representing renewal. There appears to be snow on the bamboo leaves. A fine mesh of supporting threads made of silk is sandwiched between two layers of this stencil. This stencil is of the koban size class (determined by the repeat length).
