This roller-printed cretonne was designed by Winifred Mold for the Silver Studio and manufactured by Marshall Roberts Ltd in 1924. ‘Cretonne’ is a strong, printed cotton fabric, suitable for furnishings This textile features sprays of flowers and plant motifs with exotic Chinese-inspired birds. 'Chinoiserie' designs such as this were popular among British consumers during the 1920s.
