Paisley printed dress fabric

Rayon dress fabric with a pattern which combines patchwork and paisley. Small, framed flower groups juxtapose Indian-style, geometricised florals, ornamental medallions and elongated pine cones. Unnatural, synthetic colours were fashionable for floral fabrics in the late 1950s and 1960s, and this sample is printed in rather lurid shades of lime green, magenta, turquoise, aquamarine and black.
