Modernist cushion cover

Brown and cream cushion cover made from a textured, wool and rayon cloth. It has a 1930s Modernist design of swirling lines (possibly feathers) which stand out in relief from the fabric ground. This effect is achieved by using a textured weave and a mixture of matt and shiny yarns. This kind of woven fabric was also very popular for covering soft furnishings throughout the 1930s.
