Rose and cornflower

This printed chiffon fabric is from about 1960. The pattern uses flower motifs that do not repeat. Each flower is slightly different from its neighbour, suggesting that the fabric it may be hand printed. Hand printing is a labour-intensive process and fabrics produced this way would have been expensive.
