Vertical curving sprays of bluebells and acanthus, in shades of light and dark blue

This wallpaper design was possibly designed by John Illingworth Kay for the Silver Studio in 1899. The design uses highly stylised bluebells and acanthus leaves in a rhythmically repeating pattern. Dense floral patterns such as this were particularly popular with British consumers at the turn of the century.
