More details

Lilliput was first founded as a pocket-sized 'racy' magazine for men in 1937. Its first editor was Stefan Lorant, a photojournalist who also edited Picture Post. The Magazine became famous for its photography and illustrations, which accompanied the stories and features. Amongst its most famous photographers were Kertesz, Cartier-Bresson and, above all, Bill Brandt. Contributors to the magazine included Robert Graves, John Betjeman and Walter de la Mare.
