The Illustrated Carpenter and Builder

A weekly journal aimed at architects, builders, joiners, decorators, painters, plumbers and gas fitters. It reads more like a directory than a journal as it has hundreds of adverts for carpentry and building companies, machinery and tools. It does, however, also contain illustrated articles and features on architectural, decorative and building techniques, for example hanging wallpaper, dovetailing in wood and quantity surveying.
