Founded in 1897, the weekly illustrated Country Life is devoted to all aspects of country living, from rural pursuits, for example hunting, shooting, fishing and cricket, wildlife and farming to idyllic country towns and country house collections. Each magazine also features a frontispiece 'model' (a 'country girl' from aristocratic society), correspondence pages and advertisements showing country houses for sale.
