Weekly magazine for women published between 1895-1934. Later merged into Women's Own magazine.
It featured serialized fiction, fashion (including free dress patterns given away with some issues), knitting patterns, articles on children, cookery and homemaking, plus entertainment features on popular films and film stars of the day. Each edition has a cover printed in colour, with articles illustrated in black and white. Adverts mainly promote cleaning and beauty products, as well as fabric manufacturers. The look, feel and content of the publication suggest it was probably aimed at a lower-middle class female readership.
