Lithographic music cover sheet for 'Venice'. Lithograph by John Brandard. Composed by Charles Glover. Published by Leoni Lee and Coxhead, London. 1846. Cover sheet has a decorative blue, gold and red border finished with swirls. Curved peak at the top of the border upon which is written 'VENICE'. Within the border is a colour illustration of a canal in Venice lined with buildings, with the domes of St.Peter's Basilica visible in the background. To the foreground is a platform with a crowd of musicians and a young couple, the male wearing a mask. By the crowd, on the river, are a number of gondolas, one with masked men. Below the illustration is text in gold detailing the composer and printer's information. Verso depicts another John Brandard lithograph entitled 'The Delphi Polka' composed by Charles D'Albert.
