This is a lighting catalogue for the Sun Electrical Company Ltd produced in 1931.
It shows the more traditional glass light shades that were available during the 1930s. They came in a range of colours and were permanently tinted to look like alabaster.
Light fittings like these would have been popular in suburban houses in the 1930s. They were similar to fittings that were available in the 1920s and were popular with people who preferred traditional home decorations over Modernist styles.
