This cover plays with the type setting for the year ‘1960’. These rounded digits became common in 1960s design and the shift of colour within the numbers shows how text and numbering were being experimented with in this era. The use of a minimal over-all colour scheme and less expressive but still bold lettering marks a change in design from the 1950s to the 1960s.
