This screen printed cotton textile, ‘Plexus’, was designed by Sven Fristedt in about 1960 for Swedish manufacturer Boras Wafveri. Big, bold designs such as this were popular in the early 1960s. The pattern mirrors popular contemporary designs for ceramics and jewellery.
