This is a page from an illustrated catalogue produced for manufacturer New Dimensions in 1972. This image of a bedroom shows the fashion for co-ordination in 1970s home decoration, with the same pattern used on the wallpaper and the bed covers. Fitted furniture suites such as the one shown here helped create a harmonious matched look. The wallpaper in this bedroom has a strong, brightly coloured geometric design. Later in the 1970s, small nostalgic patterns that used pastel colours became fashionable.
