The combination of illustration styles in this cover show two aspects of the creative industries: creative expression and precision. The DIA (Design Industries Association) almanac showcased the best designers and manufacturer. The expressive line used in drawing of the head combined with more rigid illustration of a brick wall and pencil illustrated the importance of creativity and practicality to the creative industries.
