More details

This machine-printed cotton and silk textile was designed by Harry Silver for the Silver Studio in about 1905. The pattern uses stylised peacock motifs in a repeating design. The simple style and use of flat areas of colour are typical of fashionable Art Nouveau designs of this period. MoDA also holds Harry Silver's drawn design for this textile (SD3862).
