Five postcards from a series depicting 'courtship' scenes, in the form of silhouette-type images, embellished with touches of colour. Playful captions include"Two beaux to her string", "The love-thief" and "Maytime is Playtime". These were published by the 'Alpha Publishing Co', but the trademarks on the reverse do not appear in Byatt's reference book 'Picture Postcards and their Publishers'.
