This catalogue relates to an exhibit, produced by Messrs Norman and Stacey Ltd, a well-known firm of furnishers and interior decorators, suggesting the ideal home and furnishings for an officer. The exhibit was made at the time because the company beleived the government was about to increase the allowance made to officers to spend on their living quarters. The book contains suggested layouts and interior design schemea and lists furniture, metalwork, chimney pieces, light fittings and wallpapers designed by Harry Napper and others.
