Geranium leaves and floral chintz

This chintz design was created by Winifred Mold for the Silver Studio in about 1937. The chintz pattern features geranium leaves in small floral motifs arranged in a repeating pattern. Chintz patterns such as this were not fashionable during the 1930s, when simple, geometric patterns became popular with design-conscious consumers.
