Crown Wallpaper shop front window

A black and white photograph of a Crown Wallpapers shop around 1950. The photograph is of the front of the shop, showing the Walpamur paint section, with rows of paint tins on shelves. In the winow of the shop are some wallpaper samples. As the retail trade grew at the expense of the decorators' trade, shop fronts and displays became an important way of attracting custom.
