More details
This wallpaper was manufactured by Heffer Scott around 1920. It features a Japanese scene of a lady, partly illuminated by the moon, standing with an orange and blue parasol, in a shaded pagoda. Around the pagoda are silhouetted trees and the moon can be seen clearly in the sky. In the foreground there are a few pink and mustard yellow flowers and the background colour is a vivid mid-blue. This wallpaper is typical of the fashion in the early to mid 1920s for a highly romanticised view of the Orient.
