Design for decoration of door and wall

Very few of the Silver Studio's designs for whole schemes of interior decoration survive. In this one, the influence of Japanese art can be seen in the dado and in the decoration of the frieze. The overall effect is one which is typical of the Aesthetic movement, in design, colour and in the use of objects such as the fan.
