Modern Woman

An illustrated, monthly magazine aimed at women, Modern Woman contains mainly a range of fictional stories. However, each volume also includes cookery and fashion tips, factual features, for example 'Do Englishmen Like Women?', party games and homecraft ideas. Like the Housewife and Wife and Home magazines, its array of advertisements is emblematic of the role of women in the 1940's.
