This design was included in the Exhibition of Historical and British Wallpapers which was held in London in May 1945. The exhibition was organised by the Central Institute of Art and Design and the National Gallery on behalf of the British wallpaper industry. The exhibition was intended to revive the public's interest in the design and use of wallpaper, and included a large number of new designs alongside historic examples.
