'The Anatomy of Pattern' by Lewis Foreman Day was published in 1898 by B. T. Batstone. It was part of a series called Text Books of Ornamental Design which was based on a series of RSA Cantor Lectures delivered in December1886 and was first published the following year. It includes 41 illustrative plates and covers many aspects of design.
