Interior of the WPM Golden Jubilee Exhibition Train

This is a photograph of the interior of the WPM Golden Jubilee Exhibition Train 1949-1950. The photograph is of the interior of the train showcasing room sets and using dolls to represent people. The first room set shows a family, in a living room, with a birdcage. The second features a lamp and flying ducks on the wall and the third has a sideboard and plant stand. The train had two large coaches housing room schemes and wallpaper displays and it visited 25 towns and cities during its six month tour. During this time is attracted about 400,000 visitors from the trade and the general public.
