Naima Bakar: MA Printmaking Graduate

Naima Bakar is a recent graduate from Middlesex University’s MA Printmaking course. She visited MoDA during her studies and found a wealth of inspiration for her printed textiles and wallpapers. She explains more in this short film:

Naima’s tutor Steve Mumberson commented that “the results of her research at Museum of Domestic Design and Architecture made a major contribution to the work in  her final show.” Naima is now working hard to establish herself as an independent designer of textiles, ceramics and upholstery.  See more of her work on instagram: @bakarsnaps

This short film was made by Middlesex students from TV Production and Advertising course.  The team – collectively known as ‘All Day Breakfast Pictures Ltd’ – were Tyler Talmadge, Connor Bensley, Yehia Shamseldin and Victor Samaniego.  They worked fantastically well together on this project, and seem destined to go far.  “TV Production and Advertising students have really combined well and put into practice their filmmaking skills acquired on their joint Promotion Video Production module,” said Senior Lecturer Tom McGorrian. “Making videos for MoDA was also a great opportunity for our students to get hands-on video experience with a real-life client.”  You saw them here first!
